To clarify RichOne's post.... - Well here is something to worry about.. Perhaps the Peruano Guard will get us..
The topic referred in the article has also been an on and off issue encountered during our BAExpats coffee chat get-togethers.
The last incident occurred 3 weeks ago on a Fri afternoon. Rich and I were sitting at a table for 2 eating ice cream cones from McDonald's while chatting in English. One of the security guards addressed me in a rude and snide tone to say that we cannot sit there without consuming goods from Starbucks. I informed him that the outdoor area is for public use. He repeated the same rhetoric several times. I stood my ground. He walked away.
Since that incident we have held 2 coffee chats where that same guard has been on duty. He has gone out of his way to be friendly towards our group. End of story.
