Would love an update from anyone who has gone to Colonia on a day trip recently. Looking to do a 90 day renewal for tourist visa (1st one).

Don’t do it. Migraciones doesn’t like the shtick. Better to just pay the overstay fine when you leave.

Update: very nice trip everything smooth and migraciones was super helpful.

Despite the recent cost of living issues in Argentina, we appreciated that ice cream in CABA is still 70% less than Uruguay

Agreed. If anything these days I’d advise anyone to avoid doing the 90day run - it seems to annoy them more then people who overstay and just pay the fine from the few people I’ve heard have problems.
I’m on my 5th overstay and not had a single thing raised at immigration yet on exit or entry

Just short of a year - the rest of them being between 6-9 months.
