Really wish I wasn't, but I have no choice (and no, I'm not on the run).

Anyway, I have some money in a UK bank account which I would like to use towards buying a property. Which is the best way to bring the money in? Is now a dumb time to be trying this?

If you are intending to buy a property you need to bring the money in legally through a recognised bank or other agency registered with the Central Bank. They will change your pounds to pesos before you recieve it.

If you transfer the money in black you will have difficulty in satisfying the money laundering requirements.

There is a provision within the banking code which allows for the transfer of funds for the purpose of buying property or other investments.

If you do not have a bank here you could speak to Banco Piano who are experts at this. They charged me 2%.

You will need to prove the source of the funds.

I can show payslips which will prove the source of only half of the funds. Can I say the other half was a gift or inheritance? We are talking no more than £30k total here so fairly small fry.

Did you set up the Piano transfer whilst you were in Argentina?

Oh and thanks for the reply!
