I was wondering if any of the veterans can give me some advice.
I've been considering a smaller city in Argentina to learn Spanish. I find myself speaking too much English here in BA, with locals and expats. Ideally I would move to a place that is large enough to preclude "everyone knowing everyone" but small enough so that people are not always trying to speak English to me.
This strategy worked well the last time I lived abroad. I haven't had the opportunity to travel outside Buenos Aires, so I'm not familiar with other cities in Argentina. A region that is known for it's warmth and openness would be spectacular. Think of moving from New York to San Francisco or from Paris to Toulouse.
I nice bonus might be if it was a bit cheaper than BA.
