Can anyone recommend a few good resources on the web for locating apartments in Cordoba outside of airbnb? We're looking for a short-term rental there starting this summer. Any general thoughts on neighborhoods, schools and that city would be great to hear. We're a family of 5 looking to move there for about a year from the US. Private bilingual or catholic schools suggestions welcome and needed. Thanks!

We moved to the Sierras de Cordoba a year and half ago after living in Buenos Aires for two years. It was difficult to find temporary furnished rentals in Cordoba city, but there were lots of great rentals in the towns along the Sierras, and we have ended up loving the slower pace, cooler temps in summer, and being around lots of trees and mountains, and seeing some ride their horse to the grocery store ....La Cumbre, La Falda, Villa Giradino etc have been long time summer vacation places for Argentines, so there are lots of temp rental properties...La Cumbre especially has a history of european settlers and has a great bilingual school...but all of Cordoba does not have the ease of connecting with other expats that BA has nor has the web sites and forums geared to english speaking foreigners..( we had to find rentals through face to face questions as the web is not used as much as in BA ).so inless your family wants to emerse themselves in the local culture and has some spanish, relocating to Cordoba will be a challenge, but maybe worth it....

Thanks Studiodio. How far out of Cordoba proper is that? Assuming you had a car?

Interested in the thread too (Living here since 2003 in Bs As... Might want to live in a different province soon and I love Cordoba).

Where would you search for a house + pool + big garden + high speed internet, not too far away from Cordoba (like 40/50 km maximum), while paying a reasonsable price for the rent?

The towns in the sierras de cordoba west of cordoba city are from 40 min to an hour or more driving time from cordoba city. because they are such popular vacation destinations, there is great bus service every 15 minutes to all points, including direct from BA (a direct overnite bus ride of aprox 10 hours). we are coming into the big tourist season, so there are lots of temp rentals for dec-march.....doing a web search for each city in the area will give you some idea of the high end rentals (many with pool etc) for example, "la cumbre cordoba argentina propiedides temporario " (Carlos Paz, Cosquin, La Falda, Huerta Grande, Villa Giardino, La Cumbre, Capilla de Monte) will give you different real estate agencies, then go to their web sites, look up temp rentals, etc. Carlos Paz is the largest city in the area and the closest to Cordoba (30-40 min away) I would recommend renting a place for a month or so, then if you like the area, searching via word of mouth for less expense off season. let me know how you do!
