Cristina warns Milei era will end in major crisis

Cristina is correct on this matter.

what bold statement?!! I’m not defending Milei. All I’m saying; he inherited a mess from Kirchnerismo. It’s not easy to clean up that mess. No hay plata. I don’t think he will manage to do anything but I don’t blame him for this mess. I can’t stand the previous ones tho. What are you talking about? Can’t you see what was happening? How can you expect him to make things straight in a year and a half?
No hay plata, but he had enough to immediately purchase fighter jets upon becoming President, right?

Laugh of the week… didn’t her era (4 years as first lady, 8 years as president 4 years as vice while and 4 years as leader of the opposition somewhere in between) directly lead to and culminate in the current “crisis” of Milei that her supporters are bemoaning today as the worst crisis to have ever happened to Argentina? The narcissist will always deflect their own failures and bad behaviors onto someone else.

A policy of simply blowing up a balloon and calling that “growth” was not and never will be sustainable, it will always be destined to burst.

Everything is outcome of the previous government. => that's a really really bold statement..
If there was no money spend on education, than why is he slashing the funding of it?
Why is he cuttting the pensions? or not correcting them a little bit.

I don't see how the country got any better in the past 1,5 year with him at the head..
But can you at least see how the country got worse and worse with the others at the head?

The thing is; I never said before it was all roses and sunshine.
I only said.. that i don't see the achievements which people are saying..
He is in a difficult situation, and there are multiple paths to the end. I just don't believe that the path which he is doing is the right one.

I don't see how the current situation is sustainable for long term.

Let me explain it to you in a nutshell:
If more money leaves your country than enters.. your currency will devaluate. This is really basic economy 101 (supply vs demand) .
You can manipulate it with interest or incentives, but that's the means the government has to their disposal.
An incentive can be a law like : we don't care where your money came from' bill or tax beneficits.. or help with construction.. it can be various things.

Now if we look at the current situation in Argentina:
The prices are now artifically pumped up and it makes the demand towards the peso drop;
This goes for food (read the other article about beef, where Argentina is to expensive to export beef to China.. Or that they even import beef from Brazil ?!?),
vino (argentinian wine became to expensive)
clothes
electronics (remember the article about the tax cut and what it means for some province)
and ofcourse a big factor tourism.

So if all of them drop at the same time, you are going to have a serious issue sooner rather than later that something will collapse.. and once they collapse your peso will just crash like before, with no real fundamental to keep you alive.

So instead of artifically and manipulating it and people actually thinking that he is doing a good job.. it's more like waiting for execution to happen.
I don't know if it will come in 6 months.. 12 months or 2-5 years.. but if it doesn't turn it will happen.

I hope that clarifies why i am not 'supporting' Milei, but i would like to note that i am not supporting the 'left' either regarding economics.

So you support left but not economic policies and you were expecting Milei to clean up the mess created by previous government based on econ 101?

please read, I don’t say I support left. I never did. I state explicitly that I don’t support left regarding economics. Stop feeling attacked and just read it from a neutral point of view. I am not playing a blame game.

But you blaming Milei like the lefties do. And you can be leftist, nothing wrong with it.

... expecting Milei to clean up ... based on econ 101?
Economics 101 (Milei’s Edition):

1. Letting prices soar until no one can afford anything
2. Presenting the absence of inflation as a sign of economic well-being
3. Declaring tax amnesty for repeat offenders, because there’s no money
4. Offering even more tax amnesty, just in case someone was left out
5. Begging for loans you can’t possibly repay
6. Defunding universities to boost innovation
7. Effectively blaming your predecessors for everything
8. Setting expectations that people won’t see any positive results in their lifetime, and that's OK
9. Forcing retired people to choose between food and medication
...

Would any accredited university offer an economics course based on this syllabus?
