Hey Everyone,

Democrats Abroad is the official Democratic Party arm for the millions of Americans living outside the United States. We strive to provide Americans abroad a Democratic voice in our government and elect Democratic candidates by mobilizing the overseas vote.

We are in the processes of forming a Democrats Abroad committee in Argentina.

If you are interested, please check the Democrats Abroad website at:
http://www.democratsabroad.org/

Or, email us directly at:
[email protected]

Thanks,
Craig

I'm not aware of any activity by the local organization in many years. Why haven't we heard from you since you took over several years ago?

Those who were around ten years ago know about the problems the BA organization had.

I see that there is a Americas regional meeting beginning today through January 28 in Costa Rica.

What a long memory! I think Yanqui Mike is long gone but don't know for sure.

If anyone knows about a local Dems Abroad chapter I'm interested in joining. I have also contacted the main office about forming a chapter. Please contact me if you are associated with them.

Thanks, T/

Sorry, folks,

I'm not American so not sure about this, but I heard the Democratic party in the USA is in trouble because it came out in the Wikileaks that they stole the nomination from Bernie Sanders, a senator from New Hampshire? Not sure, I don't know the details and not familiar with all of USA politics, but my impression is people wanted to make a new party or somth, idk

If you google "how hillary stole the primary" you will get almost four hundred thousand results.

This one accurately explains what happened:

Bernie Sanders was running for the Democrat Party nomination for President. He wasn't trying to start a new party. If the Democrat primary had not been "rigged" in Hillary's favor he probably would have been the nominee.

Fortunately or unfortunately politics is a knock down, drag out fight as shown by Hillary's nomination as well as by Trump's win and going back in history, Bush's appointment by the Supreme Court, Johnson's winning the congressional seat in Texas and many other examples. For better or worse, that's how it works.

The good guy doesn't always win. If fact, we have to hope that the good guy (or gal) is also the strongest.

IF your aunt had balls she'd be your uncle.

PS. I think this thread was about organizing Dems Abroad which I'm still interested in.

Clinton is a neocon cold warrior and a blood-thirsty butcher who admires Videla's benefactor Kissinger. Sanders is a milquetoast liberal disguised as a socialist who equivocates on the bloody 2014 Gaza bombardment and seems unable or unwilling to get off the fence when it comes to imperialism. And, of course, Trump is a full-blown textbook fascist who 62,979,879 Estadounidenses voted for with full knowledge of who he is and what he represents. Make no mistake, there aren't any "good guys" in United States electoral politics.
