Hi all,

I currently have braces and the next part of my treatment means new veneers. My dentist has done a great job with the braces but I am now looking for a dentist who specialises in veneers/aesthetic dentistry. I have seen two already and they didn't convince me they would do a good job/had done similar procedures.

Any recommendations greatly appreciated. I would rather pay a bit more for a quality dentist as I need the veneers on my upper front teeth.

Thanks!

Hello,

I don't have an answer for this but I am considering getting Invisalign here in BA, who is the dentist you use and would you recommend them?

I have an appointment with Dra Saldrina for my veneers in July- she seemed nice and told me outright I like the more nature beauty rather than your mouth ooking like a fake Hollywood smile- and a reasonable price, 3500 for each one where as another one I saw quoted me 7000 for each tooth. Dr. Fernandez. If you want the details for Dra Saldrina let me know and I will message them to you.

hey mer2293: any news regarding invisialign? thinking about the same

Dr pelcman who has been mentioned several times and is my dentist, also does veneers. Speaks English. Dont know how his prices compare to others. 4821-9070
I had my veneers done 10 years ago INSTEAD of having braces for the second time....corrected an overlapping tooth problem and has also made my cavity count go down to zero. Worth the investment, but a bit "uncomfortable" when they're doing it. My gums were sore for weeks from all the novocaine injections. But that was a long time ago and maybe they have better technique for doing them now. Worth it, anyway! .

Dr. Pelcman is extremely good. His son did two stems and crowns for me and they came out perfect. He even painted the crowns in the lab right there in front of me.

Unless you need them wait till u head north. The ones that are beautiful are backed with zircone? like cubic fake diamonds that reflect the light. In San Miguel De Allen de Mexico u can get US quality for 250ish a piece. North American style Labs and if something were to happen u can get a replacement.
If there is metal underneath(old style) they will look bad with stains and time...

Oooops. I forgot to mention that the crowns Dr. Pelcman did for me were imported from Europe and the metal stems from the U.S. It's worth consulting with him. You've nothing to lose but an hour.

Personally never gad any trouble with staining. Mine were done in the US at least 10 years ago and I don't remember any metal being used. But that might be a newer technique.
Re color, one should be able to choose the color you want. I was shown samples and chose something more natural looking. When I watch US news broadcasts now I can't believe how distracting the white white of the newscasters teeth is! My suggestion is chose something that DOESNT say "these are fakes!"

I am also looking for a good dentist in Buenos Aires. For now just need a basic cleaning but who knows... Any names with phone numbers??
Thanks!
