I've come to believe that the Fed gov took over control of the Anses pension fund so it could pay current operating expenses (including the purchase of pesos) by borrowing from it at artificial low Indec based rates.

Is money printing machine broken? Why does the government need to borrow or invent some sophisticated schemes?

I don't pretend to be knowledgeable about federal banking systems and how the money supply is increased, but I suspect there's a little more to it than simply running the printing presses, even for AR.
