Hi all!

Can anyone recommend me an Estancia that offers a nice "Dia de Campo" including some horseback riding and asado in the Provincia de Buenos Aires?
It shouldn`t be too far out - no more than 1-1 1/2hs driving.

Could you also tell me what you paid for that and if you took a transportation service to get there?

Thank you very much in advance for any recommendations!

Cheers,
Robin

Having visited many estancias while here, I feel that the best on offer is Estancia Ombu (www.estanciaelombu.com). In fact I was there yesterday with my family who are visiting and they loved it. I hope this helps

We went to the La Porteña de Areco a couple of weeks ago for 2 days and 2 nights with my young kids and my parents (who were visiting) and had a fabulous time. It was quite cheaper than the Estancia el Ombu, which I've heard great things about as well. Feel free and PM if you have more questions about it.

We went to La Porteña as well, It was gorgeous. We had a mishap with the horseback riding that resulted in a broken arm. Just be sure they tighten the saddles between rides! The estancia itself was gorgeous and the staff was very friendly (even in an emergency!).
