I'm going to the US soon and will be filling my suitcase with food in the US to save money (imagine saying that a couple years ago...) Barilla pasta is one example, $6,700 ($5 USD) here vs. 99¢ last time I was at Ralph's. Can you get cheaper pasta here? Sure, if you like cardboard al dente, but that's a no, gracias, from me.
Also just checked and even stuff like ketchup is a steal right now up north, $1.25 each vs. $2.10 for apples to apples comparison (Natura vs. Kroger).
Also looks like Haagen Daz is still $13.73 for a pint at Jumbo, $3.99 in the US. They're really gonna let it get freezer burnt instead of selling it at a reasonable price I guess.
