Everyone complains about the price of electronics and even pots and pans. Does it make sense to transport such things via a container when you move to BA? Why not arrive with everything you need? Is there duty or something else I'm overlloking if you transport used personal belongings?

It makes sense to bring things like, bedding, curtains etc, things you can bring in your cases. We brought over most of our bedding and curtains even venitian blinds.
The trouble with sending a crate over, is the problems you will have with duties, and the cost of the transportation itself. Others on this site have more experience here, so I will leave it to them. We decided it was not worth the trouble.
