Dear BAExpat community, it's Vagrant Violet!

As you may know, I've been a member of this forum for quite a long time, often commenting to give my two cents about all things related to English teaching/ESL. I am thrilled to officially launch my new teaching website and services, with one simple belief at the heart of it all: that anyone who wants to learn English deserves the opportunity to do so in a way that works for them.

I am proud to have over 22 years of experience teaching English to diverse learners worldwide under my belt (including 7 years at the Lincoln School) and hold a Master's degree in ESOL. My deepest education, though, has come from my students over time and from raising my two sons on the autism spectrum, who showed me firsthand how important the right support can be.

I founded Different Minds Learn for every student who has ever struggled with English not because something is “wrong” with them, but because no one has taught them in the way they learn best. I work with students ages 8 and up with ADHD, dyslexia, autism, anxiety, and other learning differences - building on their strengths at their pace.

I am offering in-person/hybrid learning experiences and online classes in Buenos Aires (and for students anywhere in the world). Reach out anytime with questions or to book a free consultation for your student.

📚 ENGLISH BOOK CLUB FOR KIDS — OLIVOS, ZONA NORTE

Are you looking for a fun, supportive way for your child to practice English? Come join a small, welcoming book club meeting organized by Lauren, founder of Different Minds Learn!

Designed for kids ages 8–13 with an English level of approximately A2 or above, we'll be reading a short passage from the leveled Penguin Reader edition of R.J. Palacio's beloved book Wonder, talking about it together in English, and doing a couple of creative, hands-on activities inspired by the story. Kids will have plenty of opportunities to speak, interact, and have fun - all in English!

This is an inclusive event - additional support and differentiation are built into the session, so children with learning differences, neurodivergent learners, and anyone who simply finds reading challenging are warmly welcomed. Everyone will be able to participate and get something meaningful out of the experience.

📅 Sunday, May 17th
🕙 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
📍 Olivos, Zona Norte (exact address shared upon sign-up)
