For those of you who have lived in BA through past elections, what disruptions, if any, might we expect? Will things be closed? Do people protest?

Also, my boyfriend flies back to the US tonight (saturday) - do you suspect there will be protests or other unusual delays on the way to the airport?

Thanks!

Protests not really . Things that are closed are sporting events, any massive public event that could entice people not to go to the polls, the feria de mataderos for example. You will also need to buy any alcoholic beverages before 6 pm today.

I know the booze rule is strictly enforced and it doesn't bother me either way, but I can't see the rationale behind it.
Is it maybe to prevent drunken zombie hordes invading polling stations?

And for those that like Tango--no milongas tomorrow until after 6pm.

A drunk Argentine in the cuarto oscuro is a dangerous beast, there is a very small possibility that he may vote for something entirely reasonable.

Shouldn't there also be a ban on viagra and any Tinelli style hilo dental proctology cams on TV to prevent another episode of leche para todos?
