I feel very uncomfortable for asking this, but I'm giving in and realizing there's a chance I may finally need to address my current mental health decline. I've never visited a doctor or psychiatrist before in my adult life (even in my home country) but I will have to remain here in Argentina for at least the next couple of years, as we have relocated here due to my husband's work contract, and making any trips back to our home country is very difficult at this time. I'm worried because (and though I've been learning) I feel my Spanish is still quite poor for the type of in-depth consultation I may be requiring. Has anyone experienced/gone through the process of consulting a doctor specifically for antidepressant medication? I can certainly manage Spanish speaking only if anyone has a particular recommendation in mind, but of course those with some English speaking experience would be a little more helpful, I'm sure. Any experience with finding and scheduling these sort of consultations within BA would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your time and any input you may have!

There are English speaking psychiatrists who can treat you and prescribe medication. If you belong to a health insurance scheme, consult with them. They will very likely be able to find a suitable doctor for you.

The Hospital Británico usually offers english speaking doctors.
