With the new Codigo Civil, I just checked in migraciones and if you are in a relationship with an argentinian, and you register as civil partners you are able to get the Residencia Permanente without getting married!. that is great news. Did anyone get it that way?

Why not just get married in a civil ceremony...(it's free!) ... the new codigo civil now also allows for a convenio matrimonio (prenup)

Because some people might not want to get married?

I don't know of anyone who has done it - I will ask a friend who was thinking about registering for civil partnership

I would also be interested in hearing if anyone has either had/heard of someone's experience with this.

I've been with my novia for awhile now, but we're not (at least I'm not) ready to take the plunge.

However, it is serious, and concubinato/union civil would fit the bill perfectly.
