Anyone know of any enclosed dog runs where I can let my pup off the lead and socialise her with other dogs? Preferably close to Belgrano but will drive if there is somewhere recommendable.

Thanks

I saw one in la Plaza Rodriguez Peña at Callao and Marcelo T de Alvear. It's pretty small but enclosed and seems to be popular.

I'm almost certain there is a reasonably sized dog enclosure area in the Bareacas de Belgrano - At the Belgrano C station end. The dog handlers use it so its popular. I'm going to be around there tomorrow unless the rain keeps up like it has just started in which case it will be Belgrano Venezia again. I will post a correction if I'm wrong about the dog enclosure!.

Looks like we will be breaking out the gondolas....the pooch will have to make do with a walk on the lead.

there is one near US embassy at libertador y sarmiento. there is also one in Plaza armenia (armenia y costa rica). these are all small circular enclosed spaces. I find they are not the best places to socialize pups. they aren't the best spaces and tend to be not very clean for you or the dog. if anything happens it will also take you some time to react.
Buy an extendable lead and go to the palermo parks (same one near embassy). in my experience it is a great place to meet other dogs and still have control over yours.
ps,. the mornings are usually taken over by the actual dog walkers with their dogs. again, it's a good start to walk by and slowly introduce your dog to theirs. if it's too-much too fast, then go in the afternoons when it's just owners.

i'm wrong! I couldnt see one last night in the Barrancas de Belgrano so used this as an opportunity for a bike ride and yes definately it has gone! When it was taken down in the past few months I have no idea.

Plaza Malfalda by the Mercado de las Pulgas on Concepcion Arenal y Cabrera is my preferred place to take the pooch. It has a small enclosed ring but letting the puppy off the leash at the very centre of the park is better, as long as s/he comes when called.

Ah, she is to young yet to be trusted to return when called, something enclosed would be best. Will take her for a stroll around Palermo this week.

Thanks all for the suggestions.

The big one that used to be on the Juramento side of the park is gone, but there is now one across the street by the train station.
