Yeah! Muslim Brotherhood! Buh bye Copts! And buh bye liberal Egyptians! No they're not all going to be killed. But the people, in their desperation and stupidity, just voted in a President who is going to make sure the rights of the people are not protected but taken away.

Humans have a tendency to forget things, especially when they're desperate. And that's exactly what happened with the Egyptians. A movement without a clear plan or vision of what it is that people want to achieve is as good as dead on arrival. Egyptians wanted to protest against Mubarak. They wanted him out. They got him out, and then they were screwed because no one could answer the "now what!" question.

The so-called pundits in the West were jubilant, "Democracy in Egypt!" they cried. Its what the people want!! But do they really? When the people on the ground didn't freakin' know what they wanted, I have to wonder how CNN, BBC, NYT and LATimes knew what they wanted.

The liberal people of Egypt, who started the movement (and later it was taken over by Muslim Brotherhood, very early on), were left between a rock and a hard place. The choice given was, "Do we want a person from the previous regime that we wanted to get rid of, or do we want an Islamist?" What a choice they had to make! And did it really matter in the end? Either way? They weren't thinking, "Who's going to ensure that we get what we want?" Because they have not a clue what it is that they want. They just wanted to get rid of Mubarak. And they didn't want anyone else from his administration running their country. So they were left with only one viable option. Muslim Brotherhood!

Great going everyone! Bravo! Thank you Obama for opening your effing mouth in Cairo! And then showing indecisiveness and weakness on your part when the so called revolution was going on. I have always said this, either mind your own business or know what you're talking about. Obama administration, after Carter's, has been the worst in dealing with the Middle East. Carter screwed up Iran. Obama did one better and screwed up Tunisia, Syria and Egypt! Great job!!!

Anyway, I am concerned mostly for the Copts who have already had it difficult since Mubarak left office. Random assassinations. Random riots on "reports" that a Christian did something to offend the Muslims so they should march to their churches and burn them. And destroy their homes.

Every anti Coptic movement since Mubarak left has been led by people from Muslim Brotherhood. Oh yeah, the Muslim Brotherhood who has now "changed its ways".

Yesterday I read a headline on a newspaper (can't remember where) "the first non military government in Egypt". Yay. Let's celebrate! Let's also forget that the Brotherhood's outlook is mainly military. Politics is used as plan B. Let us also forget that Al Qaeda and Hamas, amongst countless others, are basically offshoots of the Brotherhood.

Ah whatever. If the Brotherhood says they mean peace, then they really must mean peace! All those Copts murdered (like the family that was killed by their neighbors and the police didn't do anything) were just peace offerings I guess! We should just bow down and accept it or else...

so what you are saying is this might be quite accurate?

It has started already.

Democracy taken over by a mob and turned into mob rule is not democracy as we understand it, where the rights of the minorities are protected, but it is ochlocracy where it is acceptable and normal to crush the rights of the minorities.
