Has anyone personally been to EL OMBU estancia in San Antonio de Areco? If so, what's it like? I am looking for something authentic -- not folkloric shows etc.

I have visited El Ombu, though it was some years ago and I have never spent the night. I would put it closer to the "elegant" and low-key end of the spectrum, though I don't know much about their current programs.
