Yes. Our house is all-electric, including cooking, water-heating, and underfloor heating, and we live in Buenos Aires Province, Our provider is Eden, and they are bloody expensive.

A gas generator isn't an option to reduce the electricity bills, unfortunately, the maintenance intervals are ridiculous (like 200 hours). We have one (Generac), but for power cuts, it switches on automatically after about 10s.

We have timers on every major appliance, which helps a bit. Double glazing, modern brick construction (not the old style solid bricks), sealing all draughty areas will help. Plus I got a nice wood stove which will keep part of the house warm in winter. If there's any interest I can PM a link with a stock clearance of wood stoves at good prices.

I think you will have to go solar to see a big reduction in your bill. I need to look into this, the initial quotes I got were sky-high, but in time costs should come down.

Could you share more about your experience with this equipment, including its efficiency, cost, capacity, and after-sales service?

Why not a gas boiler with radiant heat, either wall mounted radiators or underfloor heating? This is what we use. Not the boiler below, but a similar older model, from the same distributor. Separate gas hot water heater tank, which continues to work well during power outage.

It is not surprising to me that electric space heaters are wasteful and expensive to operate.

Because it’s cheaper to install all electric and before the luz was regalado.

There are various alternative heating options if you don't have natural gas in your area.

During our stay in Chile, I had a chance to use a pellet heater.

My sister's cabin has a wood stove heater, which doubles as a cooking surface.

People in the campo use portable garrafa (propane) heaters.
