End to flooding in BA

Looks like the project is finally underway to fix the annual flooding of Buenos Aires http://www.clarin.com/diario/2009/02/27/laciudad/h-01866792.htm and http://www.clarin.com/diario/2009/04/11/laciudad/h-01895414.htm .

HA! HA! HA! You know how made DECADES they've been saying the same? Thing is, they have enclosed many streams and NATURE is what it is and gets very upset when humans wants to restrain her...

Got a nice photo of this piping project on a propaganda brochure that came with our ABL tax bill today. After being stranded for a couple hours during one of the floods a couple years back, I do hope the are seriously working on this and not spending the ABL money on fancy brochures.
