Experience with Chinese Cars?

I'm seeing more and more Chinese cars on the roads and more of their showrooms opening.
I'm curious if anyone has actual experience owning one? Their reliability? Getting them repaired and maintained?

I have ridden in several as ubers, and I always ask the drivers how they like them. Odds are pretty good these days that you get a BYD every sixth or eighth uber.
Having owned an electric car for over five years in the US, I can tell you that repairs and maintenance are almost nonexistent, as electric cars have so far fewer parts, especially moving parts that wear out.
The big BYD push, with showrooms in the northern suburbs, and right next to the obelisco, is all electric cars at 2/3 the price of the gas cars sold in Argentina by the big automakers.
Uruguay has always had more Chinese cars, as there are no local factories. I have rented cheap Chinese gas poweed gars in Uruguay a couple of times, and they were pretty similar to argentine fiats or renaults.

I’ve got a Jetour form cherry group done 25000km so far no issues.

I have seen that spares are eye wateringly expensive. Will probably just go to Uruguay to get something when needed.

Services which you have to do at the dealership are about 400,000 a pop and I have my doubts that they’re putting the correct oil in Argentina being Argentina.

Supposed to use fully synthetic Shell Helix but they only have drums of Valvoline in the shop?

I think a hybrid has its place, but its definitely much more complicated and subject to problems than a straight electric version.
For someone who routinely needs more than the maximum range of an all electric, it makes sense, but it will also cost more and take more maintenance.
I have friends with various hybrids in the States, and they are good for certain people.
For most current model cars sold in the USA, 400,000 pesos is at the low end for a trip to the dealer.
My Honda dealer wants almost 600,000 peso equivalent for a fluid change that includes oil, filters, coolant and and brake fluid.
But the almost always find things to push it up much higher.
Inflation here in washington state has been horrific in the last few years, and average dealer per hour service is running $180 to $275 dollars PER HOUR for all the major brands.

Mine is 100% ICE, don’t trust hybrids either
