Eye Exams: Places And Prices

I'm wondering if anyone has any information on a place to get an eye exam and new glasses. Most of the posts in the past suggested taking care of it in the US but that's obviously no longer an option. I just want someone who's nice, reliable, and can deal with my broken Spanish

Any additional information about prices would also be much appreciated!

I went to the eye center in Recoleta a year ago, just for an eye exam and it was only $300 at the time, I didn't need more than the doctor to fill out a form certifying my vision, he didn't speak much English but I was able to translate for him what he needed to know..
