Face biometrics mandated for SIM card activation in Argentina

I use Movistar, they wouldnt activate my pay as you go sim without a DNI, even for a tourist sim

So I gave them my wife's DNI and they accepted that.

They did for me, weird.

My daughter and her husband arrived this week with Nomad set-up but it didn't activate. I'm wondering if FaceID is the culprit or if there are other common issues using Nomad in ARG that explain it.

Nomad works for me. But you have to follow the in-app instructions carefully to get the eSIM activated and assigned as your primary line for data.
