What I don't get is why everyone is so amazed she got re-elected... It is not the middle class vote that keeps her in power. And though she might be disliked by most of the middle and upper classes, there are many in those sectors who lover her too since she has given them total protection from foreign competition and now they have monopolies. Is that good for the country? No. But in most of the world we vote with our wallets and our goals are short term oriented.
