Fiesta Retro tonight in Palermo

If you're old enough to remember the great dance music of the 60s, 70s, and 80s in the US, then you want to attend Fiesta Retro.

WHERE: Museum Sivori inside Parque Palermo (Rosedal), Av. Sarmiento

Music provided by DJs for our dancing pleasure. See you there. Look for the dancer with white hair wearing a red cap. That's me.

Too hot outside for this old geezer. The dancing is held in the back, the dance "floor" is paving stones set in the dirt. No slide or spin moves on that rock yard.

I'd like to share a brief report since I'm the one who posted it. You didn't miss anything.

The female DJ was in her own world on the stage. After listening to what I know as "club" music (no melody with a heavy beat) for about 15 minutes, my American tango neighbor and I left. I let the host at the door know how monotonous and boring the music was for us. From a quick survey of the people on the benches, they looked bored as well.

We enjoyed our walk in the park. Our conversation about her recent visit to Antartica was the highlight of the night.
