First time in NYC next week, any advice ?

I am going to visit NYC for the first time next week both on profesional (I am an entrepreneur in finance) and leisures purposes.
Any advice for must things to do, hot spots, places to visit ? I would be glad to meet for a coffee before thursday to get any info on new york.
