Hi all,

Having just spent the holidays stateside I was left with a hankering for making some yummy baked goods with a good artificial American taste ;)

Has anyone ever spotted flavored extracts used in baking? Substitute for the small McCormick bottles of Mint/Orange/Almond/Butterscotch/etc extract?

Thanks guys!

Derek

Vanilla Lemon and Almond I get in any supermarket's baking section.

Anything more "exotic" you'll have to go to somewhere more specific.

Casa Polti in Belgrano has a lot of variety with everything you could look for, and from what I remember they had a lot of different kinds of extracts. They didn't have mint which I was looking for but just because they were out, not because they don't carry it they said.

The go-to for many local home cooks is Doña Clara: http://www.donaclara.com.ar/
