Flea Markets Around Palermo (Botanical Gardens)?

For those of you who wish to venture out of the fair Capital , there is a great antique flea market at the train station Baraccas , on the train della Costa line. Take the Mitre to Olivos station , walk up to the Train della Costa station Borges , and then take it to Barracas.

Also the station after Punta Chica is a natural market with all the stuff you expect to find at a natural market.

Take a stroll around Borges station , beautiful plaza with craft fair every weekend , tree lined cobble stone streets , great cafes.

Just making a small correction to avoid potential problems, that's Barrancas, not Barracas which is a dangerous barrio inside the city. Barrancas station is in Zona Norte and it's indeed lovely to go there.

How late do they keep the markets open on Sundays? It's pretty laid back life here, so I'd assume that they will be through the afternoon, right?

Yes, it's a safe bet to assume they close when the sun goes down.
