Flights within South America

Hi! Anyone have any tips to travel within South America flying out of Bs As by air for cheap (for a foreigner)? Hopefully, not some dodgy airline where they've crashed or had some sort of scary experience? I'm researching the best ways to get around to Salvador (Brazil), Peru, Chile and Bolivia without taking a long distance bus as I get car sick.
