Foreigners Rights

Your Rights
"Foreigners in the territory of Argentina have all same civil rights as Argentine citizens; they can run industries, trades and professional businesses; they can own real assets, buy them and sell them; they can sail along rivers and coasts; they can freely practice their religion; they can be witnesses and get married complying with respective laws. They are not obliged to apply for citizenship nor to pay compulsory extraordinary contributions. They can apply for naturalization after residing for two consecutive years in the National Territory; but the application authority can shorten this time favoring the applicant, alleging and proving services in the Argentine Republic."

Our Principles
The fundamental principles of the Argentine Nation are declared in the National Constitution. Some of the relevant ones are:

Preámbulo: We, the representatives of the people of the Argentine Nation, gathered in the General Constituent Congress by the will and election of the provinces that integrate it, in compliance with the pre–existent agreements, in order to constitute the national union, guarantee justice, consolidate the national peace, serve common defense, promote general welfare, and ensure the benefits of freedom, for us, our posterity, and for all the people of the world who would like to inhabit on the Argentine land: invoking God’s protection, source of all reason and justice, we order, decree and institute this Constitution for the Argentine Nation.

Article 14: All the inhabitants of the Nation have the following rights according to the laws that rule their enforcement; namely: to work and run any legal industry; sail and trade; demand authorities; get in, stay, traverse and go out of the Argentine territory; make ideas public through the press with no prior censorship; use and dictate about own real estate; enter into associations with meaningful purposes; practice religion freely; teach and learn.

Article 14 bis: Work in its own diverse ways will be granted protection by respective laws, which will guarantee workers: dignified and equitable working conditions; limited working hours; paid rest and vacations; fair compensation; minimum not fixed salary; equal compensation for equal job; participation in companies’ revenues, with control of production and collaboration in management; protection against arbitrary dismissal; stability of public servants; free and democratic union organization acknowledged by enrollment in a special record to that effect.

Benefit of asylum
Diplomatic asylum reach all persons (whichever is their nationality, race, sex, religion or political thought) when their lives, freedom or integrity are at risk for political reasons. Such right will not be granted to delinquents indicted by competent courts of law. The character of political delinquent is an attribution of the grantor country. The person admitted to this benefit shall refrain from manifesting and developing any political activity during asylum, which will be extended until conditions that generated such petition are changed in the country of origin. The asylum granted in embassies, legations or war ships constitute an institution of international law, based on custom and on the subscription of conventions. Over twenty countries acknowledge it as standard practice and, at least ten countries, although they concede it in their territories, grant them through their embassies.

And the point is?

Just plain, simple and clear unpretentious information, nothing more nothing less.

Why?, do you have problems with that too?

No, not as a statement of principles. The problem here is not the principles its the weak institutions to uphold and enforce them.

We are working hard on that. You see in this country there are some people in the political scene that withhold the same principles as yours therefore we are not advancing fast and far enough each steep this nation take forward there are two steeps backwards....as a criollo duck, if there was the possibility to get rid-off of those crocks once for all this country will cut free from the extra useless baggage who are keeping us tied down going nowhere....Carrio..Macri...and some unrepresentable members of the Congress, media as Clarin, Perfil. La Nacion etc. etc.

I would read this as you believe Argentina needs to get rid of the political opposition and the media critical of the current regime. Not the road to democracy or progress, just the opposite in my mind.
