Not true, see neonicotinoids in the Philippines, for example.

I know for a fact that one company in BA is lying about their oil being virgin (I have the bottle here to prove it, as I couldn't believe they would do so so I went ahead and bought it). I also had a horrific experience speaking to the owner of one of the other brands - that person was in fact awful in many aspects and I would boycott them on principle. Not naming names.

The girl I mentioned on another thread who did have organic virgin coconut oil for sale has unfortunately moved to Rosario, so Uruguay it is for the time being. A friend of mine recently opened a vegan shop in San Isidro, I could see if he'd be interested in bringing Prana brand over from Uruguay, but he is selling at least one of the other brands in the shop.

Argentines say that the kind available here is 'for cooking' (because it has no taste or smell) as if it's somehow higher quality when it's really just poor quality and/ or the second or third pressing (or more? Best case scenario. Worst case/ more likely is that they are chemically extracted) after the good stuff has been sent to other countries.
