I'd like to recommend a recital taking place in the Museo Fernández Blanco in Retiro next Sunday at 1900. The main salon of the Palacio Noel, Suipacha 1422 between Libertador and Arroyo, is a splendid place for chamber music.

The American tenor Steven Tharp, who spends a lot of time here when he's not performing in Europe or North America, is offering a mixed program (Mendelssohn, Brahms, Schubert, Fauré, and a group of Italian songs). The last time he appeared at the museum, they turned away at least as many people as were admitted, so plan to arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Tharp has sung recitals at Carnegie Recital Hall, the Met museum, and the 92nd Street Y in New York, as well as a host of North American and European festivals. He's appeared in concert with the NY Phil, Chicago Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic, etc. Opera in NY (Metropolitan and City Opera), Palermo, Amsterdam, and many other theaters in the US, Germany, and the Netherlands.

This should be really good!
