Good bookstores in town?

Thanks sleslie23 we were just on the lookout yesterday for some book stores!

Crackup look good as it means I can have a beer whilst my better half does her perusal of their wares.

This will sound childish and for that I have no qualms: Are there any good comic book stores in or around BA? Ideally English language ones but Spanish is a welcome second prize winner.

Although they dont sell philosophy and literature much, one of my favorites is the architecture and design bookstore CP 67, which is on Calle Florida, way in the back of a galleria.

a hidden gem. great selection, really knowledgeable staff, been there forever. pretty much every architect and graphic designer and product designer in argentina buys books there, the staff knows everybody, and every book published here on the subjects.

I echo the suggestion about Paseo de libros. Good books and there is a cafe in the back.

Realizing this posting is old and I am late to the party -- where does one look for books written in English
and magazines and newspapers which are also in English. I get many on line but would like to go where
the selection is nice and perhaps sit for a coffee or wine too.

thanks

Libreria Platero, on Talcahuano.
Then, there is one on Suipacha between Lavalle and Tucumán, but I can't remember the name
