Just a quick "hello" from newbie me.
I've been in this great city for little more than 2 weeks but already I'm thinking that my planned 3 month stay is not going to be long enough!!! Here to learn Spanish and soak up the atmosphere before I head off on my travels around South America.
Have found this forum really useful so 'muchas gracias' for all your top tips and advice to date!

Purdey - I see you are in San Telmo. I arrive next week (ash cloud allowing), and will be living in san telmo too, and here for similar reasons. Looking to hang around for a few months and improve my Spanish, before heading around the rest of the continent. Hope to say hi when I get there....
