My ABL came today and is within pesos of last year. Anybody get big raises?

we got ours for 2012 this week too and it hasn't changed for years. maybe 2013 will be a different story.

I dont see why they have to put all these bills up in one sudden jump (electricity etc), I wonder if they thought about putting them up slowly so people could adapt, it would seem the obvious thing to do.

So, should we pay for the whole year now instead to escape from the increase? Or will we have to pay the extras later?

We always pay in Dec for the whole year, saving one month payment.

Nancy is right but the question remains: If the rates are going to increase in March will paying the full amount now insulate the property owner from the increase?

This is not a precise answer, but I kinda doubt it.

The ABL for my apartment in Recoleta increased by 300% in 2008, but the increase appeared on the annual bill that was issued in December of 2007.

Paying now to avoid the increase will not work. At least not according to my rudimentary Spanish understanding of this:

ABL/IMPUESTO INMOBILIARIO 2012

La Legislatura de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires aprobó el 25 de noviembre el Presupuesto para el año 2012 y la reformulación del impuesto comúnmente llamado ABL, que comprende la tasa de Alumbrado, Barrido y Limpieza y el Impuesto Inmobiliario (antes Contribución Territorial).

El nuevo sistema rige a partir del 01 enero de 2012.

Las boletas que se encuentran disponibles en este sitio web, y que se identifican como cuotas 1 y 2, cuota 12 (pago anual) o si corresponde cuota 90 (pago único) de 2012, han sido emitidas sin incorporar aún los nuevos parámetros, por cuestiones de implementación técnica. Lo mismo sucede con las boletas que se pueden obtener por los puestos de autoconsulta, o en los CGPC, así como con las que se distribuirán postalmente en las próximas semanas. Los montos accesibles en las redes de pago electrónico (homebaking y cajeros automáticos), también son imputaciones parciales del impuesto 2012.

Deben ser abonadas en los vencimientos y montos que se señalan, como pago a cuenta del impuesto total 2012, cuyo ajuste será emitido y distribuido a partir de marzo, junto con el resto de las boletas del año.

A partir del 15 de febrero usted podrá consultar en nuestra página su nuevo impuesto mensual.
