Planning my first trip to BA and hope to spend most of the year there.

Can anyone tell me the difficulty is obtaining a long term visa?

Presume this means I will need to return to the USA every 6 months to renew my Visa?

You can get a new visa by taking a day trip to Colonia, Uruguay. Inexpensive and close by.

There is also an office at Av. Antartida Argentina 1355 where you can renew your visa once before having to leave the country again. It takes a while, and they are open from 7:30-2 so it is best to get there early.

I should know, because I took the time to make many of them.

If you use the search engine of the forum you will know exactly what your options are.

It isn't necessary to go to Colonia to extend your visa by 90 days...at least the first time.
