hantavirus in empuyen

There are cases every year but I just read that there is a New World Hantavirus which can be transmitted human to human. Previously it was thought that the virus could only be transmitted rodent to human. That said, there are only a handful of cases and the possibility of getting infected is highly unlikely if you avoid places where rodents congregate. Your risk of being injured or killed in an automobile in Argentina is much more immediate.

I am very familiar with Epuyen and its a terrible tragedy for the community down there . This has never happened before to this level and it seems that the virus has propagated by person to person . Epuyen is atm in lockdown due to the now 23 confirmed cases of this virus . My heart goes out to this beautiful community .
