Has anyone been to Tandil? Where to stay?

Thinking about making a last-minute trip there over the long weekend. Is there enough to do there for 2 days? Any recommendations for a hotel or hostel? (doesn't have to be fancy!)

Altos Tandil is a botique hotel that is recommended, and Hotel Mirasierras is also recommended, but I don't know the prices. I haven't been there for a few years.

Any other recommendations for someplace quiet and within 5 hours of the city?

The weather doesn't look good this weekend though, might just stay home

La Cascada is by far my favorite inn in Argentina. The staff was wonderful, the accommodations were superb and peaceful.
