Is there anyone web-savvy that can help me read a quote for my website?
I don't know WP very well and I am not sure if they simply configure it or if there is more to it (obviously, I use the free web-based interface right now).

If so, please PM me.

What are they doing for you? Installing a custom template? Major customisations? Or just install WP and setting up a couple of sample entries? With WP there can be a tonne of customisation and add-ons or it can be as simple as taking one of the standard WP freebie templates, putting in a logo, setting up a couple of menu items and a couple of sample pages and then sending you on your way. What did you request and what did they offer to do?

That's what I would like to understand. They gave me three alternatives with 3 different prices, the only one with SEO (which is what I specifically asked) is the most expensive one.
Yet, if I choose a WP theme which is not free, I will have to pay for it aside. I will have to pay for hosting (I just have the domain).

This is the list of the most comprehensive option:

• Links a redes sociales

What I asked: a website to get more direct client, with SEO, with a professional look and feel. I have an existing website made by myself on Strikingly, but it is now drawing any visitor and it is more geared toward agencies than direct clients.

If someone has a recommendation, I am open to shop around.

The most important part of SEO is the actual content, the text written on the page, the keywords etc. You can get loads of quality (responsive-mobile friendly) free WordPress online and there are loads of plugins that help with SEO as well in terms of editing the page title /description etc someone that knows what they are doing could get a basic site up in about an hour, it will be the customisation of the free theme and the content that takes the time. SEO is also a question of time as changes to your site will take time to be reflected in the search engines.

Whatever you do, don't give up your control of your domain name or hosting (select and sign up for your own ) that way you can't be extorted by dodgy design companies further down the the line

Are you happy the say what your current site Is? In what way is it directed to agencies as opted to direct clients... I assume this comes down to the actual content on your page?
