Help - Rentista Visa - 8000 Peso/month

Monique, is there a way to make a rentista visa a permanent visa after 3 years? or do the deposits have to continue in perpetuity?

@PaulBA: sorry I never replied to your question back in May but I never saw your question. For the initial visa application I did not have to show receipt of the rent as you can't without a local bank account. I only had to show the contract. @dtjyukon: yes after you complete the 3 years you can apply for a permanent visa.

Also remember another expense, as soon as you declare rental income, I believe you will have to pay income tax on that part of your "world wide assets" ie on the value of your rental property.

No.

I also have a visa rentista and did not use a lawyer. As long as you show the paperwork that is listed on the migraciones website it should not be too difficult. For the first application they don't expect you to have a local bank account as you can't open one without a DNI. They did tell me however that in order to renew my visa I would have to have a bank account and it had to show the 8000 monthly deposits. However, any money you receive from abroad which is transferred into your account shows up as 'deposit', the same as a deposit you make yourself i.e. to renew your visa you don't need to show that the money was actually sent from abroad as long as you can show a monthly deposit of 8000. I have renewed my visa twice now showing bank statements of only the last 4 months before renewing it and no questions were ever asked.

Its a valuable Help. I think the 8000 peso is same as before. Please do suggest if you know any reliable lawyer because i do not have much knowledge of sanish. Maybe my rental property can fetch a bit more then 8000 peso and i am looking forward for this visa!
