Home Repair Question

Update: I sprinkled a generous amount of bicarbonato de sodio all over it, dunked it in a pot with the same vinegar I used before and simmered it for a few hours. After that, I was able to scrub the shower head clean with minimal effort. Don't do this near any clothes you're drying--they will stink of vinegar. The water pressure is slightly better now--that or I'm just imagining it. At least it's all clean and shiny! Thanks, guys.

The soap will react if gas is leaking, apparently.

The soapy water bubbles if air blows through it, like a bubble wand. It's a really cheap DIY alternative to using a gas detector -- a tool a gassita should have, yet in Argentina, rarely does.
