Hormonal Blood Tests

Hello

Does anyone know where I can get some basic hormonal blood tests done? I don't have medical insurance/obra social but I am willing to pay privately. I have the doctors orders for the test,

I just need a point in the right direction. Does anyone know about how much they should cost?

You can go to Centro de Diagnostico Rossi, they do all kinds of lab tests and it's usually where most people go since they work will all obras sociales and prepagas (so be prepared for a little waiting time, esp if you go on Saturday).

They have several branches in different areas of the city and for lab tests you usually dont need an appointment. You just go to whichever branch is nearer or more convenient for you with the doctor's orders for the test. You may want to stop by in advance or call to check whether there are any specific indications for the tests that you need (eg, some hormones must be checked at certain hours in the morning, or how many hours of fasting you need). They will also be able to tell you how much it costs to pay for it privately, since it is likely that the cost could depend on what specific analyses you need.

Also, did the doctor tell you when you should go for the test? If you’re female, for some hormones you need to do the test between days 3 to 6 of your monthly cycle. I was sent home when I first went as my doctor had failed to tell me that important bit of info and I had to go back 3 weeks later!

I have no idea of prices at the moment, sorry. I second the part about testing and the mestrual cycle - I had to do one between days 19-21 of my cycle at one point.
