I've been to a few theaters in BA and have noted that the temperature IS much warmer than theaters in the States where I usually have to keep my coat on. However, I've found (across consistently) that the sound is much lower than theaters in the States where my husband has to wear foam ear plugs.
I go to Abasto, usually. And aside from the sticky floors, I find the experience pretty pleasurable...I just have to remember to wear removable layers
Agreed........It's actually nice to not freeze in the movie theatre. I usually go to DotBaires or Abasto and have found no problems with the level of the sound.
Simple answer, no. There's a million movie theatres in Buenos Aires, unless the film is for kids they all pretty much show subtitled versions of films, so you can try out a tonne of others. I wish Village Recoleta would open again
You can find movies / theatres on La Nacion's spectacles listings page:
Could you tell me specifically WHICH ones? I hate overheating. If it is cool you can always wear a sweater.
And the sound?
The cinemas I know in the US - basically show independent, European or quality US films - have reasonable volume and temperature (I'd guess about 72 F.). The pre film advertising may be a bit louder though. I don't know about the mega cinema complexes in the US - have only gone once or twice and didn't like them.
Anyway my question is not about the US but WHERE I can find cinemas here with a comfortable temperature and normal volume.
