Do you know if in this country they drink any hot alcohol?
With hot I mean heated up, not spicy.

I miss cold days with a good ol' (plastic) glass of red wine with a clove.

You can but coffees with many varieties of alcohol added at many cafes and restaurants.

Hot wine is a Canadian thing. Frenchie is coming to your house to talk you down.

We have that in Italy, as well, and I drank plenty in Austria on New Year's Eve, too.

Frenchie is welcome any time, as long as he brings a bottle. You can be his +1.

Warm/Hot wine is actually drunk all over Europe. In the UK we had it for Christmas. Think the Romans spread the idea around Europe a few thousand years ago.

Its also very central European. In Germany it's called Gluhwein here in the Czech Republic it is Svarene vino!

When I lived in NYC I had some friends / neighbors from Finland, we used to drink warm wine during Christmas / New Years holidays.
They called it Glog. It gets pretty cold in NYC during the Holidays. Can't imagine drinking it here during Christmas when it gets so hot already.

Glögg

Yes, it is too warm to drink it at the traditional christmas time, but that is why (possibly) the Australians invented Christmas in July.

Though I like to utilize the Swedish holiday of midsummer to drink glögg, eat insanely rich food and bake pepparkakor.
