Hotel prices this weekend

Does anybody know why there are almost no hotels or airbnbs available this weekend and any that are seem to be exorbitantly expensive? Seems very strange to me. I neglected to extend my accommodation and will have to spend the weekend in La plata as it seems this is the only place with any kind of reasonable pricing or availability

What are the prices in BA? La Plata?
 
I only remembered because a friend of mine in Brazil is a Botafogo fan and is flying in for it this weekend.
Guess Argentine news isn't interested in it because there's no Argentine team in it...
