How do I get a fresh lunch?

I work a block from there. I get excellent premade (that morning) sandwiches at Gama, up two blocks on Marcelo T. I also get them made to order, using really good salami from Tandil, the kind with the spices on the outside, and a range of cheeses, including brie, with fresh tomatoes and ricula at Tandilense on San Martin. Or, I go down Marcelo T a few more feet and the nice women at Mi Tiento will make me a sandwich to order, including lots of fresh ripe avocado. I buy premade, (that morning) wraps at either Raclette on Paraguay, or at 1249 on Esmerelda. Sandwiches made to order at 1249 take longer, but all of the ingredients are absolute top notch, including the bread. Sometimes I splurge and get a bondiola sandwich at parilla La Sonado on Maipu, they start every morning about 11;30 cooking 20 or 30 kilos of various carnes and chorizos.
And, yes, once in a while I go to Master Witch, but usually only for migas. Master Witch is cheap, thats why there is a line. It basically a comida por peso.

Well it was cheapish 2 years ago I don't think it's particularly cheap anymore almost $10 for a crappy tiny ham and egg "bagel" which would be banned for false advertising anywhere else in the world as it doesn't have much in common with a bagel

But I appreciate your suggestions and will start trying them out tomorrow although I am pretty jaded my heart has been broken too many times from recommendations that have turned out to be just as stale, dry and tasteless as everywhere else

Yeah it could be just a bad restaurant, I've been BA for past 3 months and being dinning out 3 meals a day, have not encountered anything like this.
Maybe you can try order online like from the apps? Or find a new spot for lunch.
