How many Argentines live abroad?

One thousand bucks is not too bad compare to what people makes in Brazil....
My gf she is a doctor too and her rent is 400K pesos per month in Caballito.
But yeah, things are so expensive, I just went super market to realize a large bag of cheetos is 7500 pesos now.
I think this is the problem, before people made salaries closer to Brazil, but paid cheaper than Brazil prices, now people earn slightly higher salaries than in Brazil, yet prices are double, triple, quadruple, or more. I had an staph infection and needed antibiotics and antibiotic ointment. The ointment was 504% more expensive here in Buenos Aires than São Paulo, there's no reason for this other than robbing people blind with inelastic goods.

I saw a bag of imported buffalo ranch flavored potato chips that cost 14500 pesos the other day. Like I'm the specific audience for that type of thing and even I won't pay that
Reminds me of Haagen Daz, $17.05 USD for a pint anyone? As I was saying, doesn't matter, elastic or inelastic goods, the caste has Argentina over a barrel and Milei and Co. couldn't be happier.

You gotta be crazy to buy a condo in Miami right now. They are cheap for a reason and it's not because they are a "great deal"...
Permit a slight digression on this subject. Someone, smarter than me, will find a profitable deal there. It happened in the US in 2008. Everyone was panicking. But fortunes were made. In 1995 the Hamptons were dead. I was one of the very few buyers of land. Overnight I would receive faxes from sleepless sellers dropping their prices in desperation. Realtors were bored. I wound up buying a large tract of prime land, much bigger and more expensive than I had planned. I sold the last parts in 2020.

Perhaps, but I think I could safely make a stretch to say that a condo tower sitting on a historical swampland surrounded by corrosive sea air with an annual hurricane season is likely more risky than a tract of land.

A pack of large portobello mushrooms was 19000 pesos today in the supermarket.
How can they be 1.5x the price of 1kg of meat?

I used to order from these people:

Not sure about their prices any more. They’re based in Pilar.

Mirando al Sur in Carlos Keen is worth a visit at the weekend, they used to sell kits for growing mushrooms, as well as fresh mushrooms.

There are now many Oyster Mushroom (Girgolas) producers. Smaller businesses that have all learned from each other. They sell fresh direct to you and restaurants since it's something newer than commercial mushrooms. More interesting on the menu. Great large cuts for searing on la plancha or parrilla. Not the dried bags of the past. Example:
