I need to vent. Fatal shootings in Minnesota

You have to be a special kind of stupid to show up to a protest to interfere with any kind of law enforcement with a concealed weapon attached to your body. What on earth did this man expect? One of the first things you should declare when approached by an officer seeking to detain you is that you have a concealed firearm so you can surrender it safely. The legality of the detainment is something you have the right to discuss with an attorney in a legal setting. The last thing you want is to be resisting arrest and having your gun stumbled on halfway through trying to cuff you.

Why is it only POC and antifascists have to be careful about carrying a weapon? These guys weren't. They went right up to policeman's faces INSIDE the Michigan State Capitol and screamed at them while brandishing their long guns. Deaths? 0. Please explain.

I agree, assuming what was retrieved wasn't another officer's gun that had fallen out during the struggle, there was no reason to apply lethal force to an unarmed man who was already on the ground.

It sounds like you haven't seen the multiple videos of the incident? The victim had his arms restrained by the multiple masked ICE agents, he had already been pepper sprayed at close range, and was on his hands and knees, being bashed in the face repeatedly with a metal spray canister... at this moment, an agent took the gun from its holster (on his right hip, out of reach), said 'GUN!', and another instantly opened fire on the guy they were beating, as the agent with the gun walked away. There's a micro pause in the shooting as they step away from the body, then another agent (probably the one who initially pushed over the woman, and set off the whole chain of events) shoots three more times for good measure.

We only know all these details because of the 'pesky' people recording ICE with their cell phones, from every angle. I've followed it closely because I have friends in Minneapolis, some of whom are (legal) immigrants from Argentina and elsewhere. I'm no fan of guns, concealed or otherwise, but it's not the first time protesters are armed... just the first time the government is implying they deserve to be shot for it. Unlike, say, in Michigan:

Comply or die? Complicity does not guarantee one's safety. No one in the USA is safe anymore. My relatives in Europe tried to comply with Mussolini and later Hitler. A dozen ended up either summarily executed or sent to concentration camps.
The fact that you are repeating fascist lies such as "Soros paid protesters" simply points out your bias. Calling George Floyd an addict and a criminal is an old Nazi ploy to denigrate the character of the victim in order to justify state sanctioned public summary executions, as if the victims "had it coming."
History will judge supporters of this regime harshly, just as they have done with murderous monsters in the past.

George Floyd was indeed a Criminal, addict and also did a porn video. In fact he had a rap sheet that included several Drug related charges and an Aggravated robbery home invasion with a deadly weapon. In 2007 he forced himself into a woman's house armed with a deadly weapon and threatened to kill her. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison for this violent action against an innocent woman. He had also numerous other Drug related arrests during his CRIMINAL life.

I don't shed a tear for trash like George Floyd. He lived a very risky, immoral lifestyle and thus died as a result of his decisions, being a very good, violent, drug addict, porn start citizen. He caused lots of harm to people around him. What about his victims?

Pulling out the Nazi garbage is a weak attempt and shows you have no clue and give ZERO evidence to back up your claims, to which there are non.

I shed tears for the innocent, just and righteous, all others I could care less and actually wish justice be served.

For the record I hate politics and NEVER EVER vote. It's all a scam and a power grab, that I want nothing to do with.

I want justice against the repressed, weak and abused. I hate evil but apparently I'm in the minority on this.

And yes it's well known the protesters (most) are paid, bused in and given orders to cause chaos. This was well established after 2020 as well as now. It's all out there.

What i don't understand is how in an expat forum we discuss domestic American politics as if we were living in the US while this whole time not a peep was said about russia invading Ukraine......hmmm kinda peculiar no? i was told once by the moderator that my thread long ago was taken down as it didn't correspond to the purpose of this forum...... it was related to the white genocide in South Africa......
