I need to vent. Fatal shootings in Minnesota

Good. So, on the basis of your sampling of news across (and conscious of) the bias of each source, what do you believe is happening in Minneapolis?

On a slightly different note, at 4.39 am in CABA. I opened the NYT on my phone and scrolled down. Here are the first SIX news items that appeared (in order):
  1. Trump is expected to announce Kevin Warsh as Federal Reserve Chair;
  2. Did Trump really give Nicki Minaj a $1 million Gold Card visa?;
  3. Trump sues IRS over tax data leak, demanding $10 billion;
  4. Trump threatens Canada over business jet dispute;
  5. Trump weighs new military options against Iran;
  6. War threats and ambiguous evidence--Trump again confronts Iran.
Let's leave aside the question of whether any of those headlines contains bias. If I were choosing a US left-leaning source to balance a right-leaning one, I wouldn't bother with this laughable caricature of a newspaper.

Non-Argentines swept up by ICE are headed this way it seems.

NYT is a for profit company. Trump generates clicks and profit. It's really that simple.

Lol...you left out George Floyd. Cops DID go to jail. Facts on that one slipped. GF was a criminal and an addict. The two men above you mentioned we not however.

The protesters are being paid by the left and George soros just like the 2020 riots . ICE AGENTS are being pushed to the limits just doing their jobs.

You play with fire. Youll die by it.

Moral of the story, just dont protest just to make money or defend illegals destroying the USA. Why is this so hard to understand?
"
Balderdash.
"The protesters are being paid by the left..." That's funny! Naive as hell, but FUNNY!!!

Argentina government discussing with US the possibility of holding illegal immigrants swept up off the streets of Minneapolis and other US cities by ICE. Deported from US and detained in Argentina, regardless of their nationality.

Naive is thinking they aren't. It was and still is a highly organized network of notifications, GPS locations and coordination efforts . Organic my Ass.

And covid wasnt man made right. ? I heard this 6 years ago by fools like you.

The easiest way for you to prove your point is to become a protestor and get paid. Then you have all the evidence you need, but until that happens you have squat.

There are many instances of white cops fatally shooting unarmed black men.

The shooter justifies his action as self defense. Not every fatal shooting results in criminal charges brought against the cop, and when charges are brought, the cop is often acquitted. Two cases come to mind for me, Amadou Diallo, Bronx NY, 1999, and Timothy Thomas, Cincinnati, 2001. Both Diallo and Thomas met their death in the early hours of the morning, Diallo on the entrance to his apartment building, and Thomas in University Hospital.

The fatal shootings in Minneapolis by ICE personnel signal a new threat to the American people. Resistance to ICE can result in death, regardless of one’s citizenship, skin color, or criminal record. Should these shootings be viewed as rogue actions by untrained ICE personnel? Or are they perpetrated in broad daylight, with several phones recording each incident, by intent, as the vanguard of federal repression, and the abandonment of rule of law?
Whether these are rogue actions or intentional policy signaling abandonment of rule of law: the intensified enforcement surge itself is deliberate federal policy, but the shootings appear tied to escalated confrontations rather than explicit orders to use lethal force indiscriminately. That said, the rapid defense of agents before full evidence emerged, combined with disputed justifications, understandably fuels perceptions of impunity—much like the historical cases you mentioned. Full transparency and accountability in these investigations will be critical to determining whether proper protocols were followed or if systemic issues are at play. Lethal force should always be a last resort, regardless of the agency or context.

Its common sense.

Ask yourself, would you take time out of your busy day to protest ( in freezing temperatures)about a cause that its absolutely worthless to legal citizens if it weren't for some sort of incentive?? Let that sink in.
